In this position, you will be responsible for mechanical designs of Cesium products through all phases of the development process. The ideal candidate will be proficient in electronics packaging design, mechanical simulations and analyses, computer-aided design (CAD), spacecraft mechanical interfaces, and environmental qualification of electronic assemblies. As a Cesium mechanical team member, you will be responsible for mechanical designs from initial concept design through requirements definition, detailed design, simulation, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support of Cesium's products. Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (BS) and minimum of 2- 5 years of industry experience in design and analysis OR Master of Science (MS) and 0-3 years of industry experience in design and analysis
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or AutoCAD
Practical understanding of DFM/DFMA implications of material and process selection
Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards, and engineering documentation practices.
Experience with Engineering analysis tools such as (ANSYS, MATLAB, or similar)
Experience with CNC manufacturing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
