Staff RF Microwave Engineer

Reach Power  · Redwood City, CA  · Jan 21, 2026

At Reach, we are delivering technologies to enable the long-range, wireless transfer of power. We believe wireless energy can be as liberating for power systems as WiFi was for data systems, and are busy creating the energy infrastructure that will one day replace the aging electrical grid. We have raised funding from top tier VC's, have real world customers deploying our technology, and are continuing to build out the exceptional team that is making our vision a reality. The Position This role will position you as a key contributor of Reach’s radio frequency engineering team. As a Microwave Engineer, you will be a key part of Reach’s RF engineering team and develop state of the art systems that are integral to Reach’s wireless power beaming capability. Your technical know-how and innovation skills are key to designing cutting edge products in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to design, simulation and implementation of power amplifiers and other components and subsystems at microwave frequencies. As an engineer in a small company, you will have a great deal of agency over your work, plenty of opportunity to discover and solve new challenges, and the ability to make large-impact decisions. Nice-To-Haves: Experience with designing high efficiency PAs and/or RF rectifiers Experience developing microwave distributed-element components. Hands-on experience with bring up and troubleshooting of high-power microwave chains and beam forming steering systems. Experience with python and/or MatLab. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FCC, etc.). Experience achieving FCC regulatory approval. Experience with design for manufacturability. Reach -...
