The Technical Operations Trainer is a senior individual contributor responsible for building technical capability across the organization. You will combine deep technical knowledge with instructional expertise to own major training initiatives within the business line. This role requires the drive to rapidly learn new systems and translate complex technical concepts into scalable learning solutions that accelerate workforce readiness • Training Authority: You are recognized as the subject matter expert for training strategy; teams rely on your instructional frameworks and learning artifacts • Rapid Learning Mastery: You consistently demonstrate the ability to quickly become proficient in new products and systems, developing training content that meets operational needs • Content Adoption: Training materials, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides you develop are adopted across multiple teams and become standard references • Performance Uplift: Measurable improvements in deployment quality, troubleshooting speed, and operational success rates are attributed to your training programs • Knowledge Transfer Culture: You routinely share knowledge through demonstration, documentation, and structured training, preventing capability gaps • Continuous Improvement: Training programs evolve based on field feedback, After Action Reviews, and changing operational requirements • Safety & Quality: Training you deliver emphasizes safety culture and operational discipline, contributing to zero preventable incidents

Responsibilities:
Training Program Development & Delivery
End-to-End Training Frameworks: Design comprehensive training frameworks and curricula that span from onboarding through advanced technical proficiency for Tech Ops engineers
Curriculum Design: Translate complex systems into scalable learning artifacts including runbooks, SOPs, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides
Training Delivery: Conduct hands-on technical training across diverse products and systems, adapting instructional methods to learner needs and operational contexts
Proficiency Standards: Set training priorities, proficiency thresholds, and certification standards that ensure operational readiness
Technical Mastery & Continuous Learning
Rapid System Acquisition: Demonstrate the drive and capability to quickly learn new products and systems, developing sufficient expertise to effectively train others
Deep Technical Knowledge: Maintain expertise across hardware, software, networking, and operational procedures to deliver credible, field-informed training
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a technical resource for training-related questions, bridging gaps between engineering knowledge and operational application
Continuous Content Updates: Stay up to date of any product changes, field insights, and emerging technologies to ensure training remains current and relevant
Knowledge Management & Documentation
Documentation Leadership: Produce and maintain clear, well-structured technical documentation, training materials, and reference guides
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in technical field operations, deployed software engineering, or technical hands-on operational roles
Proven track record of becoming a Subject Matter Expert on a system and sharing that knowledge with others
Comfortable delivering training to groups and individuals at varying skill levels
Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally for training delivery and field support
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance and support operations involving sensitive materials
Ability to support the handling and working with munitions
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, Technology or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
Experience with defense systems, autonomous platforms, or complex hardware/software integration
Experience establishing training standards, certification programs, or competency frameworks
Experience as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer
Clearance Required: Secret
