About the Team The Anduril Battlespace Awareness Radar team develops state-of-the-art radar...

Responsibilities:
• Design: Own the RF design of analog beamforming AESA subsystems — incorporating T/R modules, beamforming ICs, corporate feed networks, and front-end filtering — for radar applications. Conduct trade studies, RF simulations, and prototyping to drive innovation and ensure optimal system performance. Lead design reviews and make architecture trade decisions across antenna, RFFE, and digital.
• Cross-Domain Collaboration: Work across antenna, digital, mechanical, and systems engineering to define array architectures that meet the needs of users in the field. Bake in design excellence, including DFM and DFT, so that our systems can support the warfighter for the long-haul.
• Test: Lead RF characterization of AESA hardware — including near-field antenna range measurements, RFFE performance mapping, and system-level radar mode verification. Own the troubleshooting process when hardware doesn't behave and drive root cause to closure.
• Teach: Mentor junior RF engineers on phased array fundamentals, measurement techniques, and design discipline. Set the standard for schematic quality, simulation rigor, and test documentation across the team.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in developing RF electronics, phased arrays, antennas or related radar electronics.
• Experience leading the designs of active phased arrays using beamforming technologies from concept to production in a defense or aerospace environment.
• Deep understanding of electronic systems engineering, including design specification, part selection, and test planning for RF systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, solve complex problems, and implement innovative solutions with attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of PCB design (schematic capture, specifying and reviewing layout), with experience in tools like Altium.
• Proficiency in RF design and analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, or comparable tools.
• Expertise with RF measurement equipment, including Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzers, and Near Field Scanners.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar for design, simulation, and automated testing.
• Demonstrated experience working across multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Master's in RF/Microwave Engineering.
